Job Description
This is ON CALL BASIS JOB
Key Responsibilities
- Install maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment on rigs ensuring safe operation and compliance with relevant standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform required repairs on a variety of electrical systems including NOV equipment or equivalent.
- Carry out routine inspections and servicing of electrical equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
- Work on hazardous area equipment adhering to the latest industry standards and regulations.
- Perform electrical testing and commissioning of equipment and systems.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior electrical staff and other departments when required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while working in the marine and offshore environment.
- Keep uptodate with industry trends codes and best practices related to electrical systems and safety standards.
Requirement
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Rig Electrician or practical experience with electrical systems in the marine environment.
- Extensive experience in NOV equipment or equivalent minimum 2 years experience in a similar capacity.
- Degree/ Diploma/ Cert/ Tertiary Education in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- MUST have Hazardous Area equipment certification IECand IEC(eg: CompEX).
- For MalaysiannonSarawakian holding a valid work permit is preferable.
