At least 3 years in verification or QA roles focused on embedded systems
Experience creating or maintaining automated test frameworks; Knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD automation software is a plus
Job Description:
Sr. Validation Test Engineer Battery Overview This position focuses on verifying and testing embedded software for Battery Management Units (BMUs). You will ensure that all testing methods align with established standards including protocols for reliability quality and documentation. You will share test data address issues and maintain consistent validation practices. Additionally you will evaluate current testing workflows propose process improvements and automate manual testing procedures to enhance overall efficiency and test coverage.
Responsibilities:
o Develop and execute test plans for microcontrollerbased C firmware (ARMbased is a plus)
o Automate existing testing processes using Python
o Identify and close gaps in current verification methods
o Debug issues and provide detailed reporting to development teams
o Document test procedures and outcomes for continuous improvement Required Skills and Experience
Programming: Proficiency in Python and embedded C for small microprocessors
Verification: At least 3 years in verification or QA roles focused on embedded systems
Automation: Experience creating or maintaining automated test frameworks. Knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD automation software is a plus.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with firmware hardware teams.
Battery Knowledge: Familiarity with battery systems is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hardware troubleshooting tools (e.g. oscilloscopes)
Track record of reducing manual testing through automation Location: Cupertino (preferred)
