RESPONSIBILITIES
The Revenue Assistant supports and maintains accuracy and enhances the Revenue Management systems of the organization/property to increase the daily productivity for the team.
With the ability in statistical data analysis and interpretation he/she assists to maximize revenue and grow RevPAR Index for the organization. He/She is responsible to analyse reports market segment performances demand and track inventory for the optimal mix of business. He/She also manages the distribution strategies across all channels to drive market share and to maximize overall revenue and profit through the development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies. These are done based on historical data current trend and future demand forecasts.
The Revenue Assistant provides reports and available information to the senior leadership team to assist in creating detailed forecasts on a daily weekly and monthly basis. He/She works closely with stakeholders and ensures all distribution channels (Direct sales GDS internet OTAs) are fully optimized without any conflict in distribution representation and positioning. He/She also performs research and market intelligence through close monitoring of competitor performance strategies and pricing structures.

- Provide guidance on group availability and pricing. Ensure Group Sell Guidelines and Target Rates are updated on a regular basis.
- Ensure effective pricing strategies are in place to reflect asset strength relative to the competition and specific market conditions.

- Focus on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights to branded web.
- Coordinate with Marketing/Online team for optimizing opportunities for incremental revenue and market share growth.
- Communicate with DOSM and Ecommerce regarding soft spot needs in hotel and suggest strategic / tactical plans/strategies
- Liaise with ecommerce regarding online channel management and online marketing promotions
- Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance.
- Conduct regular price elasticity tests (price testing) in various market conditions measure results and share key learning.
- Gather review and analyze STR data on a weekly (where available) and monthly basis with Hotel Teams. Identify and implement strategies for future demand scenarios.

- Group Business Consult with Sales Team on rate/inventory suitability of all potential group business. Oversee the management of Group Block activity. Ensure that group cutoff dates rooming lists group block activity (i.e. pickup wash) are being well managed
- Proactively identify and analyze business opportunities from a net profit standpoint and make the appropriate business decisions e.g. comparing wedding business with a business meeting with rooms
- Proactively identify and analyze peak days and shoulder days talking into consideration past performance as well as new industry trends. Possible strategies include LOS restriction price decisions (BAR and NLRA) room type yielding strategic fencing oversell etc.
- Responsible for effective implementation and compliance with the set standards of Chroma Hospitality / Crimson Hotels and Resorts.
- Complete understanding and effective execution of all current and future RM tools. Includes PMS (HMS a) Delphi Sales & Catering company reports and any new tools or reports developed.
- Compliance to Crimson Hotels and Resorts standards for Rate Plans Rate Categories Market Segment set up inventory classification etc
- Ensure Best Rate Guarantee Compliance and maintain Rate Parity Agreements with Third Party Partners liaise with Ecommerce
- Clearly communicate strategic vision and objectives to hotel team on how to drive revenues and improve performance.
- Effectively communicate the current selling strategies and necessary updates to impacted departments to include but not limited to Front Office Sales & Events Reservations and Ecommerce teams.
- Provide hotel team with regular updates on hotel performance at minimum to include market share market segmentation channel metrics etc.
- Share best practices and key learnings with peers
- Proactively heading the quarterly/annual corporate and wholesale performance analysis to ensure accounts are on target and pricing for next year is based on rational and value propositions.
- Produce accurate forecast on weekly and monthly basis (frequency determined by revenue team).
- Joins weekly revenue meeting.
- Proactively identify soft spot/need periods and work in cooperation with Sales and Marketing
- Develop and update Group Control Chart with the Sales Team
- Share best practices and key learnings with sales reservations and f&b
- Work closely with Sales incharge to communicate hotel issues and update on RM Opportunities
- Networking with industry representatives to understand market conditions better and learn whats out there.
- Development of the reports Month End Reports Performance Reports Market Intelligence on a weekly monthly basis with the guidance of Director of Sales and Marketing
- Open to other task that may be assigned to Revenue Manager by the revenue team (Management DOSM)
QUALIFICATIONS
- No minimum work experience required but preferred at least 1 year of experience
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Word & Excel is desirable
- Preferably a graduate of Tourism HRM Mass Communication Mathematics or Accounting.
- Knowledge of Internet Websites and Online Travel Agents
- Computer Literate
- Able and willing to work independently on weekends and holidays.
- Able and willing to work long hours.
