Job Description

The Digital Marketing Campaign Specialists role is to design create and deliver digital marketing campaigns and improve activation processes to support expansion and growth of Syngentas services and products. The person helps global and local teams with their Digital Marketing campaigns and activation plans including campaign design build preparation execution and evaluation. She/He will have many years of experience working with performance marketing and planning and running digital marketing campaigns. This includes experience working with Analytics SEO Paid Media Content Management Lead Management etc. In addition she/he is responsible for leading guiding and training digital marketers and other individuals across the organization and scale capabilities. Together with the Digital Marketing team and key global and local stakeholders the Digital Marketing Campaign Specialist manages marketing processes and practices to reach business goals by using digital technologies and channels.

Digital marketing is a key success factor for our companys future. As the industry gradually shifts from traditional to more digital marketing approaches this role will play a crucial role in achieving our business goals and objectives by supporting this transformation within Syngenta. This includes a shift in mindset across global and local teams implementation of strong processes country support for campaigns execution and enablement with digital marketing tools.

The Digital Marketing organization will primarily work with the CP business but also support Syngenta Seeds and Cropwise. The team works alongside the global product marketing teams to enable new product launches and regular marketing campaigns with a digital first mindset

Campaign Management:

  • Define create implement and optimize the omnichannel digital marketing campaigns (focus on acquisition of grower data grower engagement conversion of sales and grower loyalty) B2B and B2C for CP Seeds & Digital Ag and over all relevant digital touch points
  • Define the campaign journeys for acquisition engagement and conversion campaigns
  • Alignment of digital campaigns with local marketing teams and their initiatives
  • Define implement and optimize digital touchpoints per campaign using best practices
  • Define implement and optimize the paid media budget allocation
  • Roll out local digital content strategy in close collaboration with global digital content team
  • Realization of tagging and SEO/SEM implementation of all digital campaign assets
  • Management of all digital campaign content consistency & quality according to the brand guidelines
  • Creation of digital campaign creation briefs for the agencies involved and the endto end campaign delivery process
  • Setting measuring optimization and reporting of all campaign KPIs and as such optimize local digital A&P spend of paid media
  • Drive digital marketing capability building in local marketing teams
  • Manage the digital marketing budget
  • Interfacing with external agencies Syngenta IT & Digital and local Marketing & IT team

Processes and support:

  • Support local and global teams with their digital marketing campaigns. Help to increase global digital marketing processes adoption of platforms channels tools and quality of digital marketing campaign execution. Ensure and catalyze collaboration and transparency across teams internally (e.g. Branding Communications Commercial Excellence global and local Marketing teams IT/Digital teams) and externally interfacing with agencies  

Data driven optimization:

  • Establish evolve and maintain digital marketing dashboards and champion data driven decision making. Lead consistent use and review of KPIs to measure ROI monitor process and adjust course e.g. to optimize campaigns (incl. website/social media performance) and optimize digital A&P spend.

Mindset change:

  • Support the organizations transformation of marketing from more traditional towards digital approaches by brining innovative methodologies new tools a drive to experiment and best practices from other industries. Manage endtoend digital projects to drive validate and embed the change with other teams.

Scaling and automation:

  • Scale digital marketing capabilities globally by (1) building capabilities in local marketing teams (2) standardize processes and templates (3) drive implementation and adoption of marketing automation systems and (4) leverage digital management assets across markets

Qualifications :

  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing domain incl. campaigns owned earned paid and social media
  • Outstanding ability to understand markets customer behavior (B2B and B2B2C) and structure analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Paid Media (Google Ads Meta Twitter Programmatic etc.) and the ability to create and effectively manage paid media campaigns
  • Expert in growing highquality followers and building engagement across the main social channels
  • Experience with digital personalization A/B testing lead management and leveraging technology in general e.g. SFDC & Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with KPI setting and measuring and driving campaign optimization over the various digital touchpoints
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
  • Strong team player able to work in cross functional environment strong in building and maintaining relationships
  • Influencing skills drive for result/outcome oriented
  • Problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Structured and analytical
  • A demonstrable passion for digital
  • Proficiency in English
  • Entrepreneurial background
  • Knowledge of digital agriculture is a plus
  • A strong academic record including an Masters degree or MBA / Bachelor degree
