Job Description
This is a remote position.
Our Client a fresh produce distributor is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the planning execution and completion of IT infrastructure projects working in the Infrastructure department and reporting to the Infrastructure manager. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge excellent leadership skills and a proven ability to manage projects related to networking data centers cloud computing security and enterprise infrastructure.
The selected candidate will be working 6am2pm EST hours. This is a 6 month contract role with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage infrastructure projects from initiation to completion ensuring ontime and withinbudget delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans timelines resource allocations and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including IT security operations and business stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies security standards and industry best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes for infrastructure solutions.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Provide regular project updates reports and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades migrations and deployments ensuring seamless transitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of networking cloud services data centers and IT security principles.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet MS Project Jira or Trello.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in largescale enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with MS Azure (AWS and Google cloud are also acceptable).
- PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
