This position will be responsible for the design development timing and production release of a vehicle line Exhaust System and/or underbody heat shields. Other responsibilities will include quality improvements value optimization weight reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management.
The Design Release Engineer will interact with suppliers and will work closely with internal and external groups such as testing and prototype labs CAE engineers vehicle program team supplier operations and manufacturing plants.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study. BSME preferred.
3 years of design/development automotive engineering experience in chassis or powertrain system and components. Will consider an internship in these areas as part of that experience.
3 years of experience in Automotive Chassis or Powertrain Engineering. Program management and product release experience.
Onsite 35 days per week
Driving a Stellantis vehicle is required
Driving and Travel Requirements:
Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
Preferred Requirements:
Extensive automotive experience is preferred. Product engineering experience preferred.
Prototype experience is preferred.
Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) preferred. Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) preferred.
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt certification preferred.
Solid understanding of system/component design preferred.
General understanding of NX TeamCenter and CoDeP preferred.
Experience in the following areas would be beneficial: Formula SAE Baja or similar experience in college.

Siemens & Adobe products including Vis Mockup TeamCenter and PDF s
