Our client a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions with over three decades of verifiable experience in the West African power sector is looking to hire a Product Development Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Experienced Product Development Manager with proven capabilities in developing product
strategies competitive analysis defining hardware and software requirements product
development supply chain engineering sales and marketing teams to deliver profitable
products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the New Product Development Cycle of entirely new product lines (plastics & electronics) extending the industry technology to the next logical step.
- Serve as a Business Analyst/Project Lead to manage new product development projects across the manufacturing business unit and develop product business requirements business plans specifications use cases and test plans
- Collaborate with suppliers/vendors to optimize material selection and procurement reducing production costs by 10% and improving product margins.
- Manage a portfolio of 4 new product development projects delivering all on time and within budget leading to a 35% increase in company profits.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive market research strategy by identifying key consumer trends and informing the development of 4 successful new products
- Identify the need and opportunity budget the project assemble the right allies within the business for proper execution.
- Develop new product concepts and validate their value through market surveys and dialogue with prospective customers.
- Implement agile methodologies and design thinking principles across the product development lifecycle reducing timetomarket for the new products by 30% and improving customer satisfaction scores by 25%.
Requirements
- First Degree in Engineering Science
- MBA Sale & Marketing
- Minimum of 10years experience
- New Product Development/New Product Introduction (NPD/NPI) Strategist
