Our multinational client who provides cloudbased data centre solutions requires an experienced Sales Account Manager to join their team in Ghana. Reporting to the Country Managing Director you will be primarily responsible for driving new Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) by identifying engaging and securing new business opportunities. You will work closely with local and HQ teams across marketing operations finance and legal to execute sales strategies and achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decisionmakers including Clevel executives prospective and existing clients both directly and through referrals from local Marketing or partner teams.
- Conduct commercial negotiations within company guidelines to secure profitable agreements and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Conduct market research on industry trends and competitor activity to refine sales approaches.
- Collaborate with local and headquarters teams to align sales efforts with business objectives and leverage resources for business development.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to refine leadgeneration strategies and campaign effectiveness.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead identification to deal closure identify new business opportunities and maintain a steady pipeline of potential clients.
- Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Proactively identify and pursue new leads using LinkedIn targeted social media outreach and direct cold calling.
- Work closely with internal departments to finalize contract terms and ensure seamless execution.
- Track and analyze sales data to improve forecasting accuracy and strategy and adhere to established sales processes and performance benchmarks for consistent results.
- Oversee the transition of newly acquired clients to the Customer Implementation or Operations team to ensure a seamless experience.
- Keep accurate records of client interactions sales activities and pipeline status in Zoho CRM and deliver detailed reports on sales performance market trends and customer insights.
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to establish the companys brand presence and connect with potential customers.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Sales Marketing or a related field.
- Must have at least five (5) years of work experience in consultative sales with a proven ability to close deals effectively.
- A wellestablished network and client portfolio in the banking and insurance sectors.
- Work experience within financial services IT services data centres telecommunications or Tech Solutions environments is a plus.
- Must possess excellent negotiation skills and a solutionoriented mindset.
- Must possess great interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Must have Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Management or any related field. Minimum four (4) years of working experience in the same or similar role. Extensive sales experience with a proven track record of achieving sales target. Certified Sales Professional (CSP) certification is an added advantage. Excellent negotiation and consultative sales skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, team playing and time management skills. Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
