Senior Primary Engineer

Due to a strong project pipeline we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Energy Team (role can be based in Melbourne or Adelaide) as a Senior Primary Engineer. This presents an opportunity for an experienced primary systems engineer to work across both transmission and distribution projects.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Be instrumental in concept and detailed design of substation primary systems and earthing systems for key clients across Australian and New Zealand.
• Lead and oversee projects including conducting site visits inspections and writing design reports.
• Interface with clients on existing projects and leverage future opportunities with senior members of the team by partaking in bids
• Provide technical expertise in accordance with project time quality and cost objectives.
• You will support the Principal Engineers and develop design associated with HV systems including cable rating earthing lightning protection and insulation coordination studies

Qualifications :

What are we looking for from you

• University Degree BE Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with RPEV or ability to obtain.
• Ideally 5 years relevant experience in transmission and distribution primary substation design and/or utility grid connections.
• Experience with industry standard software (CDEGs CYMCAP PSCAD etc.) with knowledge of Australian standards and codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of being able to work cohesively in a team on large multidisciplinary projects.
