Job Description
SENIOR SCRUM MASTER SYDNEY Immediate Start
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies with extensive experience in leading Scrum teams and driving continuous improvement within the development process. You will be responsible for ensuring that Scrum practices are being followed and will act as a servant leader to remove any impediments that might hinder the teams progress.
- Lead and mentor Scrum teams in the adoption and implementation of Agile practices.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning Daily Standups Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is welldefined and prioritized.
- Identify and remove impediments that may hinder the teams progress.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and collaboration.
- Coach teams on Agile best practices and principles driving selforganization and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Work with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams and the broader organization.
- Support the implementation of Agile at scale (e.g. using frameworks like SAFe or LeSS).
- Track team performance metrics and provide actionable insights for process improvement.
- Extensive experience as a Scrum Master ideally in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum Kanban and Lean principles.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing Agile practices and leading Scrum teams.
- Experience working with crossfunctional teams to deliver complex projects.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and departments.
- Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on removing roadblocks to team success.
- Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile tools (Jira Confluence etc.) and experience in Agile at scale (SAFe LeSS etc.) is highly desirable.
- Experience in leading remote or distributed teams.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and their integration with Agile.
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile frameworks like SAFe is a value ad
- Sydney work location with hybrid working model (3 days work from office and 2 days WFH)
- Australian PR/Citizen/full work rights to work on Australia
