Job Description

Tasks

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of childrens functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans to address specific needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated care and ensure continuity of therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide guidance and support to families caregivers and educators to facilitate the development and implementation of effective strategies for enhancing childrens occupational performance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior therapists and students fostering professional growth and adherence to best practices within the field.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to the advancement of occupational therapy services within the community.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with children and families in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of developmental disorders and therapeutic interventions for children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
