Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Drainage Lead to be based in Seattle WA.

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

  • Mentor grow and recruit staff.
  • Lead a team of professionals overseeing the drainage design of large scale complex projects with a nearterm emphasis on designbuild delivery.
  • Supervise and lead project plan production and technical reports.
  • Establish budgets and schedules for project deliverables.
  • Develop and manage key client relationships.
  • Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
  • Present complex technical solutions to clients.
  • Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others.
  • Participate in the development of technical proposals.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovative drainage technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations related to drainage systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize project sustainability and environmental impact.
  • Coordinate with contractors and construction teams during project implementation.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to assess drainage conditions and requirements.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or relevant field

  • 15 years of experience in drainage design

  • 2 years of WSDOT highway drainage design experience within the last 4 years

  • A current P.E. license in the State of Washington

  • WSDOT Highway Runoff Manual Training Certification

  • Experience developing proposals scopes of work and budgets

  • Knowledge of agency/regulatory approval process standards and best practices

  • Client connections and relationships with local and state agencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills experience
