POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Liaison Associate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research establishing and
maintaining client relationships and providing strategic insights to senior management. This role requires a proactive
adaptable individual with experience in import/export and trading particularly in multicultural environments. The position
requires domestic and overseas travel to meet with potential clients and gain valuable market insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Research & Client Engagement
- Conduct thorough market surveys and research on the commodities the company deals with.
- Identify market trends competitors and potential business opportunities.
- Regularly engage with potential clients building relationships through site visits meetings and presentations to understand their needs and promote the company s offerings.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide detailed updates to the Head Office and Partner Companies on market conditions business activities and other critical information.
- Prepare regular reports and insights for senior management to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Address adhoc requests from senior management and deliver clear actionable recommendations based on research findings.
Project Support & Collaboration
- Collaborate with various teams to assist in ongoing projects particularly those related to infrastructure oil & gas mining and agriculture. Ensure that projects are aligned with business goals and timelines.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of market research client meetings and project updates. Ensure compliance with all relevant trade regulations and internal processes.
Travel Requirements
- Domestic and international travel will be required to build relationships with clients attend industry events and gather insights on global and local market dynamics.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor s degree in Business International Trade Economics Marketing or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a multicultural work environment with a strong background in import/export or trading.
- Experience in the hygiene sector or related industries is a plus.
- Proven experience in market research client relationship management or business development.
- Market Research & Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct indepth market analysis identify key trends and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Communication & Writing Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare detailed reports and communicate effectively with clients and senior management.
- Interpersonal & RelationshipBuilding Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Numeracy & Excel Proficiency: Strong numeracy skills and working knowledge of Excel for managing data and creating reports.
- Proactivity & Learning Mindset: A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and personal development with the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
