Job Description

Balsam Hill a leader in premium artificial Christmas trees and holiday dcor is seeking an accomplished leader to drive our indirect channel efforts and accelerate omnichannel growth through strategic wholesale partnerships and marketplace expansion.

Reporting to the Chief People & Growth Officer the VP of Indirect Channel Sales will play a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive strategies to expand Balsam Hills market presence through indirect channels. This role will drive strategic initiatives manage complex relationships across multiple stakeholders and ensure the successful execution of partnershipdriven growth opportunities. While the primary focus will be on the U.S. business successful candidates will provide mentorship and guidance to the international growth team offering leadership and insight into international indirect channel growth.

This fulltime position is expected to work in a hybrid model which currently includes Monday Tuesday and Wednesday inoffice. Regular travel (1020%) to key retail partners and team locations will be required primarily within the U.S.

What youll do:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive indirect channel strategies that align with Balsam Hills direct digital and instore experience and support our omnichannel goals
  • Lead and optimize Balsam Hills indirect channel business including:
    • Strategic relationships with national retailers
    • Marketplace partnerships and growth
    • Reverse logistics programs
  • Drive analytical decisionmaking through:
    • Demand planning and forecasting
    • Supply chain optimization
    • Sales performance analytics
    • Channel profitability analysis
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with:
    • Merchandising teams on product development and assortment strategy
    • Marketing teams on channelspecific programs and brand positioning
    • Operations teams on supply chain and reverse logistics
    • Technology teams on ecommerce and system integrations
    • International business teams on strategies to accelerate indirect international channel growth
  • Lead strategic planning and execution for:
    • Amazon business growth and optimization
    • National account management
  • Lead the team to achieve business outcomes by promoting collaboration and alignment with organizational values; translate company initiatives into a clear vision aligning team actions with company priorities while fostering performance and professional development

What you bring to the table:

  • 20 years of progressive retail and account management experience; global experience strongly preferred
  • 10 years of leadership experience with P&L responsibility
  • Proven track record in omnichannel retail strategy and execution
  • Extensive experience in:
    • Strategic planning and execution
    • Channel strategy development
    • Product marketing and development
    • Amazon marketplace optimization
  • Demonstrated success in managing relationships with major retailers (Target Costco Sams Club Lowes Home Depot Amazon Walmart etc.)
  • Strong background in both traditional retail and eCommerce
  • Experience in multichannel sales team leadership (direct and indirect); proven ability to recruit and develop highperforming teams
  • Track record of successful crossfunctional leadership relationship building and stakeholder management
  • Leadership competencies:
    • Strong analytical and datadriven decisionmaking
    • Executive presence and communication skills
    • Change management and organizational development expertise

The base pay range for this position is: $229700 $287000. Where an individual falls within that range will vary based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on candidate qualifications and experience applicable skills and other jobrelated factors. We benchmark our pay ranges against current external data sources and regularly review compensation for our team members.
