As a Sales Executive (Business Development Manager) at Nosto youll be solving one of the biggest challenges brands and retailers face today: How to offer customers relevant and authentic shopping experiences that drive results. About the opportunity

Nosto is looking to hire aSales Executive (Business Development Manager) to join our New York team.


In this position you will be a part of the commercial team in North America and have a key role in growing our business. Generating outbound opportunities through highly personalized and solutions oriented outreach is your core responsibility. You will work closely with our technical team partners and customers to share what exceptional online shopping experiences look like.


Nostos network of partners and clients consists of a wide range of stakeholders in the field of ecommerce. To successfully perform your daily tasks as well as boost Nostos presence it is important that you understand the roles of various stakeholders in the ecosystem e.g. primarily VP of ecommerce leaders merchandising and digital teams on the brand side but also web agencies ecommerce platform vendors software integrators consulting houses email service providers and payment service providers.


We are only considering applications from candidates residing in New York commutable to our NYC office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate/qualify/close sales opportunities for Nosto with online retailers via facetoface and online meetings
  • Prospecting through highly personalized outreach towards midmarket and enterprise DTC ecommerce and retail brands
  • Participate in marketing activities including trade shows together with Nostos inhouse marketing team
  • Work closely with presales and onboarding teams to guarantee a smooth transition from prospect to client.
  • Engage with top ecommerce platform vendors software integrators online agencies consulting houses and payment service providers in order to establish a business generation ecosystem
  • Stay uptodate on ecommerce industry trends
  • Contribute to company culture


Required skills and experience

  • 25 years experience in direct sales ideally in outbound focussed roles
  • Full funnel sales experience including prospecting solution selling negotiation and closing/handoff
  • Experience in managing a sales pipeline and a deep understanding of sales KPIs
  • Experience in helping draft SOWs
  • Have worked with Salesforce CRM (or similar) and pride yourself on organization
  • 1year Martech / SaaS experience ideally in pitching ecommerce and retail prospects


Employment Information:

  • Base Salary Range: $70000 $90000
  • This role will have an additional bonus component in addition to the base salary in the form of sales commission.
