Job Description
We are looking for a Manager of Technology to join the Technology team in San Diego CA supporting KNSD and KUAN. As the Manager of Technology you will be primarily responsible for daytoday oversight of the team implementing and supporting technology and users within our mission critical media production and enterprise IT environment. Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the requirements gathering planning and implementation of technical and workflow solutions for News Production and Creative Services partners.
- Oversight & administration of media production applications systems and infrastructure including critical facility infrastructure ensuring reliability of technology and operations.
- Oversee technical support incident response operations and customer communication.
- Provide processes resourcing and guidance to ensure team objectives & SLAs are met.
- Hire coach and develop team members throughout their career journey.
- Develop & maintain strong stakeholder relationships ensuring effective communication.
- Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Required onsite. This position is required to be performed full time onsite from an NBCUniversal designated work site.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience including minimum 3 years of leadership experience consisting of people management project leadership or indirect leadership.
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering radio television & film related fields or equivalent experience.
Skills & Experience we are looking for:
- Ability to articulate clear performance expectations provide accountability for team members and communicate effectively across stakeholders at all levels.
- Leading support of mid to major market news or live event production operations & 24x7 mission critical technology facilities.
- Expertise in planning implementation and support of media technology including SDI and NDI video infrastructures contribution & distribution encoding live production systems news gathering tools NRCS NLE media asset management and transmission systems.
- Expertise in core IT fundamentals including administration of physical / virtualized / cloud compute & storage networking domain & identity management.
- History of successfully leading complex projects resulting in satisfied stakeholders.
