Job Description

Position : Voice Modernization Project Specialist Remote with travel Domestic 50%75%

Location : Franklin Lakes NJ

Duration : 9 Months

Total Hours/week : 40.00

Location: United States (Remote) w/ 5075% Travel (there may be some international travel expected to Canada / LATAM however most will be US based).

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead telephony modernization efforts on a per site basis from start of discovery to sunsetting of the legacy telephony systems.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing telephony workloads in various locations identifying current systems and configurations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document voice requirements ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology transition plan from Cisco and Avaya telephony systems to Microsoft Teams enterprise voice.
  • Engage with the Genesys Contact Center team where applicable for advanced contact center workloads and technology migrations to Genesys.
  • Manage the implementation of Microsoft Teams calling plans or direct routing ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support throughout the transition process addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
  • Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support endusers and administrators in using the new telephony systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the new voice systems and the project processes making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Work closely with the various technology groups to ensure successful deployment and adoption of the Microsoft Teams enterprise voice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Telecommunications or a related field.
  • Proven experience in telephony systems particularly with Cisco and Avaya.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams enterprise voice including calling plans and direct routing.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and stay current with industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Cisco Avaya or Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in largescale telephony system migrations.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and VoIP technologies.
