Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Business Development Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to provides business development leadership and direction for one geographic location or a specific market sector over a broader geographic area . Understands business negotiations and recognizes and acts upon opportunities to promote the Companys expertise and successful past performance. May travel extensively to cultivate new and ongoing business development endeavors. Typical responsibilities include important client accounts and large complex proposal/project activities.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Establishes and maintains client contacts and develops sales strategy. Strengthens current business ties; coordinates meetings between clients/potential clients and technical or other key individuals.
- Keeps abreast of overall business trends particularly the current business climate.
- Conducts surveys to determine promising areas of development.
- Establishes and maintains numerous contacts within and outside the industry.
- Follows up in a timely manner on all possible leads.
- Develops proposals for services in response to invitations to bid and provides guidance to proposal team from inception to completion.
- Develops the pricing structure as well as other contract terms and conditions.
- Negotiates contracts including secrecy agreements and joint venture agreements.
- Acts as sponsor for foreign agent representative(s); negotiates and maintains agent agreement.
- Acts as sponsor during project execution.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills Youll Bring:
- Bachelors Degree Engineering or Business (or equivalent)
- 1015 years diversified experience primarily within the business development (510 years) realm of a large multinational company
- Seasoned capture management professional
- Commercial bid management
- Client relationship and interface management
- A thorough understanding of proposal pricing contract terminology negotiations with potential clients and the Companys policies and business objectives
- The incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills including excellent presentation skills.
- In addition an exceptional ability to represent the Company favorably to develop new clients and to negotiate with key members of other firms is also required.
