We have a fantastic opportunity for a Molecular Cell Biology Testing Analyst to join our team in Dungarvan Co Waterford.
The purpose of this job is to carry out scientific test procedures on customers samples and produce accurate results within an acceptable time frame using company procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- To perform routine and nonroutine analysis as requested by the laboratory.
- To prepare and approve results for tests in which they are deemed competent.
- To be aware of customers requirements and should strive to meet those requirements keeping in mind the cycle is not complete until the customer has obtained their report.
- To deal with customer queries and telephone significant results to customers.
- To keep up to date with any technological or method revisions in their area ensuring their training is complete and adjusting their work as required.
- To train other more junior members of staff in analytical techniques as required.
- To perform QC samples in accordance with company procedures.
- To revise SOPs as required by the laboratory.
- To participate in the companys weekend rota and/or overtime schedule as required.
- To be responsible for up dating any relevant documentation when requested.
- To deputise for supervisors / managers as required.
- To keep the laboratory area clean and tidy in both seen and unseen areas.
- To provide cover for other members of staff as required.
- To ensure that all documentation is completed on time accurately and legibly.
- To keep their training records up to date and to initiate training where possible.
- To adhere to all company standards in the area of safety housekeeping and quality notifying management of any discrepancies.
- To ensure that customers requirements are fully met and in so doing be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.
- To identify any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
Education / Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Molecular Cell or a related discipline is desirable
Experience / Skills
- At least 28 months experience in a GMP laboratory
- Experience working with Cell Based Assays Technicques ELISA & PCR
- Good team player organised accurate have strong documentation skills
- Passionate about quality and customer service
- Good communication skills both internally and externally
