The purpose of this role is to design implement and maintain METRO AGs IT and Network infrastructure with a focus on security. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize system performance enhance security measures and implement best practices.
Your tasks:
- Plan architect formulate designs and continually enhance Network & Edge security technologies (e.g. microsegmentation zerotrust access security mechanisms thirdparty access SLA backup monitoring etc.).
- Offer tools and technology to facilitate the effective operation of the Network Edge security framework such as SDWAN SWG CASB FWaaS Intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) etc.
- Design and implement system hardening to minimize security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management strategy to ensure systems are up to date with the latest security patches.
- Develop maintain and update Firewall Management Process and Policies.
- Oversee intrusion detection and prevention systems to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive backup/redundant plan for different data storages systems
Your Impact:
The role oversees current tools and technologies being leveraged within the network security infrastructure and provides strategic guidance to continuously to enhance the infrastructure and network security of METRO AG. The role acts as a liaison between all network and infrastructure team in METRO entities.
Qualifications :
- Educational Background: Degree related to information security cybersecurity or relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of handson experience in firewall management process and policies information security and cybersecurity.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of technical information security measures including Application Security Cloud Security and Security Automation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Experience aligning technical measures with regulatory requirements especially GDPR.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Innovative Mindset: Proven ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in information security and cybersecurity.
