Now were scaling our platform team and are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the initiative at an early stage. This is a great chance for an experienced engineer to influence and shape technology processes and culture. Your impact will be fundamental for a secure reliable and cost effective cloud platform that delights multiple product squads and enables them to deliver outstanding customer experiences at a high pace. As InsurTech scaleup we face challenging security and compliance requirements alongside high needs for flexibility and delivery performance making this a fruitful opportunity to level up in your craft.
Tasks
Your role in a team:
- Drive platform engineering culture by designing secure reliable and highly usable solutions with a keen eye on developer needs.
- Deliver platform components and foster adoption spanning observability continuous delivery and infrastructure automation.
- Ensure business relevant platform properties such as availability scalability and performance.
- Foster standardization and best practices by fluently collaborating with engineers and providing them mentorship and tools.
- Influence the platform technology roadmap with wellfounded reasoning crisp decisions and strong advocacy.
Requirements
What you need to be successful:
- Structured approach to work with a high level of independence and responsibility.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about platform engineering approaches.
- Ability to iterate towards a bigger picture while keeping attention to details.
- Remarkable verbal and written communication open and highly collaborative attitude.
- Experience working with agile product teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to design and build automation setups from scratch.
- Advanced experience with AWS Docker and Terraform.
- Experience with diverse platform technology stacks including cloud provisioning containerization observability CI/CD.
- Experience with managing production platforms for distributed applications.
- Experience working within a regulated industry is a plus (e. g. FinTech InsurTech Health).
- Past experience in software engineering is a plus.
