Job Description
Your responsibilities:
- As a Carrier Manager you play a key role in the strategic and operational management of our transport service providers.
- You take care of tenders price negotiations implementations and performance management for all modes of transport (land air sea rail).
- You ensure optimal logistics processes and guarantee that our transports are carried out costeffectively on time and in high quality.
- You coordinate work on and implement new carriers and processes in existing systems in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and monitor compliance with contractual agreements.
- You work closely with internal departments such as purchasing sales customs warehouse and the management in the USA build sustainable partnerships with transport service providers and report to the management on developments KPIs savings and optimisations.
You bring along:
- You have successfully completed your studies in logistics supply chain management business administration or similar.
- You have several years of professional experience in the field of transport logistics with a focus on transport / carrier management preferably with various modes of transport but especially with parcel services in Europe.
- You are communicative speak German fluently and are confident in communicating in English.
- You have thorough knowledge of MS Office and the common transport management systems (TMS); experience with ERP programmes is an advantage.
- You are a person wholikesworking in a team taking initiative and working independently and in a structured and analytical manner.
