Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- The Maintenance Technician supports the plant needs regarding all automation equipment to achieve the production plan and improve on process performance and preventive maintenance.
- Support and actively manage troubleshooting and preventive maintenance program to maximize equipment availability minimize downtime hours and optimize production.
- Duties are performed in a highvolume highspeed manufacturing environment where individuals are involved with overhauling equipment and the installation of new equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform machine and systems troubleshooting and repair assist engineering and plant staff with the installation and modification of integrated systems.
- Provide technical support where needed.
- Perform basic and routine machine maintenance functions for production machinery to support operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule to ensure equipment remains in peak operating condition.
- Perform corrective maintenance as required.
- Support PLC programming and software system diagnostics as well as vision and control systems.
- Install and modify integrated systems to improve upon current equipment performance.
- Interface with other departments to provide and obtain information necessary to complete assigned equipment maintenance changeover testing and return to operation.
- Maintain logs to document testing and operation of equipment.
- Maintain assigned equipment and work areas in a safe clean and orderly fashion.
- Coordinate activities to ensure departmental compliance to all Federal State Local and Company regulatory requirements.
- These elements include FDA EPA OSHA ISO EEOC and Company policies relative to the manufacture of product lot control requirements documentation requirements housekeeping preventive maintenance associate training and safety (equipment associate and material).
- Perform these and other duties as necessary or required the inclusion of which will not alter the basic scope of the position
- Work on special projects as they arise
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills
- Must be able to read and understand procedures blueprints and sketches.
- Solid computer skills (MS Office (Excel Word Outlook)). Oracle or similar system experience highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills
- Highly disciplined problemsolver logical thinking troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic.
- Selfmotivated and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate ability to manipulate various hand and power tools safely and competently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude needed.
- Knowledge of the following equipment: hand tools drills and power tools.
- Practical knowledge of electrical drawings and PLC logic.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of five years of work experience as a Technician on automated assembly equipment. Two to three years in electronics/mechanics.
- Must be 18 years of age.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a clean room environment.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time; depending on the machine.
- Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data.
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 35lbs.
- Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
