Job Description

Business Development Manager (BDM)

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a crucial role in driving the growth of the organization by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This role is essential for creating longterm value for the company through strategic partnerships and new market expansion. The BDM is responsible for understanding the competitive landscape market trends and customer needs which informs actionable marketing and sales strategies. By collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders the BDM helps align business goals with operational capabilities ensuring sustainable growth. Additionally the BDM serves as a key representative in mentoring junior staff contributing to a positive work culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research new business opportunities and potential markets.
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients.
  • Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to optimize strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Maintain a pipeline of upcoming opportunities and manage client followups.

  • Track progress against business development goals and targets.
  • Present actionable insights and reports to senior management.
  • Participate in networking activities to build industry connections.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in business development or sales roles.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competence in using CRM software and business analysis tools.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for business purposes.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and their applications.
  • Recognized problemsolving skills and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Understanding of financial metrics such as ROI and profit margins.
  • Creativity in developing innovative business proposals.
