Job Description
A Global Procurement Leader in the Global Managerial Track (M3) has the following responsibilities /
characteristics:
Selects develops and retains the best talent from inside or outside of the organization.
Action oriented; drives for results.
Relies and builds upon experience education and/or judgement to plan and accomplish
goals.
Builds effective teams by leveraging the strengths and experience of the team through
assignments and projects.
Manages overall goals and sets direction for the team including daily tasks and associated
priorities such that they are aligned with enterprise goals.
Sets clear objectives and measures monitors progress and results.
Accountable for results of a small to moderate team including managing and measuring
internal metrics.
Delegates both routine and important tasks decisions and projects.
Identifies and sets the priorities of the work group.
Accountable to work with the team to construct compelling development plans and execute
them.
Creates a productive environment that empowers the team to exceed expectations.
Demonstrates project management expertise with the ability to manage and / or lead
multiple projects.
Well versed with and adheres to a variety of Procurement / Global Supply Chain concepts
practices and procedures.
Prepares and presents reports to senior management for the purposes of recommending
solutions and strategic planning.
Leads opportunities for process improvement.
Develops and continuously improves systems or processes in such a manner that the
team operates more autonomously with minimal direction.
Cultivates ongoing relationships and resolves conflict with suppliers.
Performs a variety of complex tasks with a considerable scope of work and with a substantial span of control.
Demonstrates crossfunctional organizational savvy.
Knowledgeable in current and future practices trends and technology affecting his/her
business organization.
Exhibits comfort around higher management.
Demonstrates broad knowledge and perspective to create competitive and breakthrough
strategies and plans.

Primary Deliverables*
Responsible for evaluating and implementing global supplier strategies with emphasis on quality
cost control availability and delivery with oversite for a small to moderate team.
Prioritize and cultivate quality capable partner suppliers who consistently provide the best total
landed cost leadtimes inventory investment system integration and value adding resources in
support of product and process development.
Continually improve the value of supplier relationships
Ensure the teams objectives and plans are being assessed and delivered.
Evaluate along with the team new strategic sources and efficient supply chain strategies both
domestically and internationally.
Model a serviceoriented collaborative environment across the organization.
Ensure best practices are utilized across the team.
Provide strategic guidance and support to the Procurement team and act as a key advisor to
leadership.
Develop and maintain an effective team who demonstrate effective communication cooperation
critical thinking project management quality systems and improvement techniques and
negotiation skills.
Inspire and motivate the team. Manage performance provide constructive and respectful
feedback to encourage and enable performance excellence. Lead by example.
Evaluate team performance versus annual objectives; mentor and assist employees in achieving
goals and objectives.
Orient train and mentor staff to develop a successful team.
Maintains a physical presence in the workplace.
Responsible for evaluating and implementing global supplier strategies with emphasis on quality

Skills and Abilities:
Proven management & leadership skills to hire train and develop a highly effective global
purchasing team.
Fluent in written and conversational English language.
Excellent oral and written communication skills ability to communicate orally and in written
format in crossfunctional environments including leadership.
Flexible motivated and capable of making changes to improve and sustain functional
proficiency while adapting to changing business and customer needs.
ERP System knowledge relating to purchasing supplier and materials management
including the ability to develop and implement system level procedures that document best
practices and workflows that are consistently applied by all staff in all locations.
Proven skills in project and process management.

Physical Location: Office Environment; occasional trips to or through manufacturing floor.
