Job Title: Hospice RN Executive Director / Administrator

Salary: $110k $130K
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospice RN Executive Director to lead our hospice agency in Georgia. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive leadership experience in hospice or palliative care settings. This role will provide overall strategic direction leadership and operational management of hospice services ensuring the highest standards of patient care compliance with regulations and financial sustainability. The Hospice is a privately owned smaller hospice (not big corporate) and they are rapidly growing!
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Provide visionary leadership and direction for all clinical operational and financial aspects of the hospice program.
- Oversee the recruitment training and retention of staff ensuring the highest standards of clinical and administrative performance.
- Supervise the clinical team including nurses social workers chaplains and other healthcare providers ensuring a collaborative and compassionate work environment.
- Must lead the team by example and be willing to rollup your sleeves and assist the team
- Foster a respectful environment among the team and embrace teamwork values
- Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure the delivery of highquality patientcentered hospice care in compliance with all federal state and local regulations.
- Monitor clinical performance and quality outcomes implementing continuous improvement programs where necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients and families.
- Willingness to help the clinical team and clinical manager when the need arises
- Participate in Admin OnCall rotation
- Be willing to assist with Admissions and taking care of Clinical Manager Duties when the Clincial Manager is out or in the field
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Medicaid state and other regulatory bodies and maintain all appropriate certifications and licenses.
- Stay informed of changes in healthcare policies and hospice regulations implementing any necessary adjustments to the agencys operations.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Maintain survey readiness at all times and operate ethically
- Provide monthly trainings to staff for professional development
- Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage the hospice budget ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining highquality patient care.
- Monitor revenue cycles billing practices and cost control measures to optimize financial performance.
- Ensure adherence to all financial and operational policies to maximize reimbursement and minimize costs.
- QAPI & Compliance Oversight for the Organization
- Community Outreach & Growth:
- Represent the organization in the local community building relationships with referral sources physicians hospitals and other healthcare providers to promote hospice services.
- Assist in marketing efforts to increase patient census and improve service awareness in the community.
- Stay involved in industry trends local healthcare networks and advocacy efforts to enhance hospice care visibility and reputation.
- Must be able to assist with marketing efforts and contract negotiations.
- Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to establish and execute longterm strategic goals and objectives for the hospice program.
- Identify opportunities for growth new services and partnerships to expand the reach and impact of the hospice agency.
- Communicate effectively and be able to assist the Governing Body with understanding regulations
Qualifications:
- Licensing/Certification:
- Active RN license in Georgia unrestricted
- Hospice and Palliative Care Certification (CHPN) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in hospice or palliative care with at least 5 years in a Hospice senior leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in hospice administration program development or healthcare management.
- Strong Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid hospice regulations and billing practices.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets financial reports and operational systems efficiently.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and healthcare industry standards.
- Experience with Homecare Homebase EHR for Hospice
