Job Description

Location: Beckton

Contract Type: Temporary/Agency Basis

Shift Patterns: Flexible shifts including days nights and weekends

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate

About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Female Support Workers to join our team working in a dynamic and supportive hospital environment in Beckton. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring highquality care and support. As an Agency Support Worker you will play a vital role in delivering personcentred care fostering independence and promoting wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide highquality care and support tailored to the needs of individuals.
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal care meal preparation and recreational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent and effective care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Promote a safe respectful and inclusive environment for all individuals.
  • Support individuals in managing challenging behaviours using approved techniques.

Essential Criteria:

  • Mandatory Training: Uptodate training certificates aligned with healthcare standards.
  • PMVA Training: Current certification in Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA).
  • Oliver McGowan Training: Evidence of completion of training in learning disability and autism awareness.
  • Immunisations/Vaccinations: Proof of immunisations including but not limited to Varicella MMR and Tuberculosis as requested.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hospital or care setting.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and shift patterns.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health needs learning disabilities or complex care requirements.
