About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Female Support Workers to join our team working in a dynamic and supportive hospital environment in Beckton. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring highquality care and support. As an Agency Support Worker you will play a vital role in delivering personcentred care fostering independence and promoting wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highquality care and support tailored to the needs of individuals.
- Assist with daily living activities including personal care meal preparation and recreational activities.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent and effective care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Promote a safe respectful and inclusive environment for all individuals.
- Support individuals in managing challenging behaviours using approved techniques.
Essential Criteria:
- Mandatory Training: Uptodate training certificates aligned with healthcare standards.
- PMVA Training: Current certification in Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA).
- Oliver McGowan Training: Evidence of completion of training in learning disability and autism awareness.
- Immunisations/Vaccinations: Proof of immunisations including but not limited to Varicella MMR and Tuberculosis as requested.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospital or care setting.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and shift patterns.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with individuals with mental health needs learning disabilities or complex care requirements.
