About the Job
Were looking for an experienced backend engineer (m/f/d) to join our portfolio company and develop the fullcycle software development for the product.

They are on a mission to unlock the vast potential of crossborder supply for the Western Market by providing access to highquality construction materials at a global scale through their innovative platform. Since its launch in January 2022 the company has successfully served hundreds of companies and generated exponential growth toward profitability.

The platform provides a userfriendly experience that empowers businesses to thrive. The team currently counts 75 FTEs located across Germany (Berlin HQ) China and India. The company is on track to achieve profitability and generate tripledigit million GMV.
In this role youll:
- Design develop test deploy maintain and own the full cycle software development of the product
- Write clean code to develop functional applications
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Manage individual project priorities and deliverables whilst working in a team that enjoys knowledgesharing sessions
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic
- Gather and address technical and design requirements
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology
Your Profile
- Excellent communicator both around technical and nontechnical people
- Deep knowledge in one of the following modern programming languages: Java proficiency in Python is a big plus
- Experience in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or BigQuery
- Write clean maintainable and reusable code and make design decisions regarding the architecture of the services that youll be implementing
- Familiar with modern CI/CD and developer tooling such as Linters and testing frameworks
- Know what it takes to run distributed systems and have some experience building microservices
- Proactive in suggesting alternative solutions and pushing your ideas
Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
