Job Description
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer you will monitor maintain and optimize network systems to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. By troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions youll contribute to a robust and secure IT environment while driving innovation in the network engineering field.
Job Overview
Shift: Monday to Friday
Work Setup: Onsite Makati/Ortigas

- Perform daily health checks on network infrastructure reviewing device logs and responding to alerts.
- Monitor and maintain realtime network device monitoring to ensure availability redundancy and stability.
- Investigate isolate and troubleshoot incidents and outages using established resolutions.
- Maintain data center devices and services to standard operating environments including proper patch cable structure power cable insertion operational cooling systems logbook reviews and biometric checks.
- Handle the physical installation testing and maintenance of devices such as routers switches access points firewalls UPS systems and other network equipment.
- Actively participate in the change management lifecycle by creating and implementing Requests for Change (RFC) conducting peer reviews and attending regular change review meetings.
- Document create and update standard operating procedures and best practices for troubleshooting.
- Ensure all tickets (service requests incidents changes problems etc.) are resolved within SLA timelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders or clients.
- Stay current with emerging technologies to enhance network infrastructure services.
- Collaborate in planning testing and conducting proofofconcept activities for new firmware software upgrades devices features and products.
- Recommend improvements to network engineering principles processes and procedures.
- Liaise with IT departments and partners to resolve incidents outages vulnerabilities and bugs and perform patch remediation.
- Maintain a patch management strategy for network devices ensuring firmware and software compliance with best practices and audit requirements.
- Conduct technical peer reviews for standard and normal RFCs.
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- Network Security: Build manage maintain and troubleshoot nextgeneration and traditional firewalls.
- Enterprise Routing and Switching: Manage and troubleshoot WAN/LAN and BGP.
- Data Center: Oversee and maintain data center operations.
- Service Provider: Design plan recommend and implement network infrastructure solutions.
- Cloud Network: Manage and troubleshoot Network or Infrastructure as a Service (NaaS/IaaS).
- Wireless Network: Manage and troubleshoot wireless access points.
- Network Automation/DevOps: Develop and troubleshoot scripts playbooks APIs and automation frameworks such as Ansible Python SALT and LAMP.
Skills and Competencies:
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a Network Engineer preferably in a telecom company or Internet Service Provider.
- Certification in CCNP/JNCIS or equivalent is preferred; ITIL Certification/IT Service Management is an advantage.
- Expertise in Cisco HP Aruba Juniper and Mikrotik routers and switches.
- Proficiency in routing and Layer 3 network protocols including Default Static OSPF BGP and others.
- Proficiency in switching and Layer 2 protocols including Ethernet Fiber Optics LAN/WAN VLAN VxLAN QinQ MPLS EVPL DLL STP/MSTP/RSTP 802.1X 802.11 Bridge LaCP/Link Aggregation and GRE tunnel.
- Expertise in firewall/nextgeneration firewalls (Fortinet Palo Alto Juniper Sophos WatchGuard) Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IPS/IDS) Access Control Lists Firewall Filters NAT IPSEC SSLVPN and other security profiles.
- Proficiency in DNS DHCP NTP SNMP TCP/UDP Radius/TACACS CMDB Configuration Management and Backup.
- Experience in NAC or PacketFence administration is advantageous.
- Expertise in debugging logs and an indepth understanding of devices to maximize their features.
- Advanced administrative experience with network monitoring systems including PRTG Ping Plotter IPAM SolarWinds NPM Zabbix and Open NMS.
- Scripting and automation skills using Python and Ansible.
