We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Stewardship Engineer to join our team. In this role you will play a crucial role in assessing the environmental impact and sustainability of products throughout their life cycle.
This is a remote position. Work from home.
About Rumzer: Our mission is to help manufacturers to easily and cost effectively comply with global environmental regulations such as EU RoHS REACH California Prop 65 PFAS CE marking and other global regulations. We do this using the best software technology and talented professionals. You will lead LCA projects for our clients.
Core Responsibilities
* Analyze materials used in products and packaging to assess conformance to global regulations such as EU REACH PFAS TSCA RoHS etc.
* Monitor and interpret relevant environmental regulations and industry best practices.
* Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and customers on product safety and environmental compliance issues.
* Prepare and maintain product safety and environmental documentation including safety data sheets (SDS) declarations of conformity and environmental product declarations (EPDs).
* Collaborate with external stakeholders such as suppliers regulators and industry associations.
* Stay abreast of emerging environmental and regulatory trends.
* Analyze data related to materials production transportation energy usage carbon emissions and endoflife considerations.
* Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize product design and minimize environmental impact.
* Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in life cycle analysis methodologies.
Requirements
* An undergraduate degree in mechanical electrical or other relevant engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in product design preferably in electrical equipment or medical devices.
* Exposure to LCA software tools and data analysis is desired but not required.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Experience in new product development/design is preferred.
* Candidates with openLCA experience are encouraged to apply.
