Job Description
This is a remote position.
SUMMARY
The IT Engineer holds a pivotal role in structuring and managing projects to meet client objectives effectively. They are responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders outlining migration steps between technology vendors and ensuring comprehensive project management for various technologyrelated endeavors. Additionally the IT Engineer facilitates customer onboarding ISP circuit orders and office moves while maintaining meticulous project documentation and fostering clear communication with clients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Who are we looking for
- The successful candidate should be able to structure a project from a client s list of goals and objectives.
- Provide project management for projects involving clients internal resources vendors service providers and service or product procurement.
- Be able to identify the steps required to migrate various technology services from Vendor A to Vendor B outlining prerequisites requirements dependencies and milestones.
- Provide overall project management for technologyrelated projects.

- Microsoft Azure migrations.
- Onprem Active Directory to Entra ID.
- Onprem servers to Azure Compute.
- File server migrations.
- Onprem file server to SharePoint Teams Dropbox Google Drive etc.
- Microsoft 365 email migrations.
- BitTitan MigrationWiz Integrated M365 Migration Tools etc.
- Microsoft Teams phone deployments.
- Microsoft licensing call routing configuration number porting IP phone hardware provisioning.
- Network infrastructure migrations & refreshes.
- Firewalls switches WAPs operating system upgrades etc.
- Duo MFA deployment.
- VPN RDP Remote Desktop Gateway etc.
- Deploying configuring and managing Veeam backup products:
- Veeam Backup & Replication.
- Veeam Agent for Windows.
- Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
- Veeam Cloud Connect.
- Veeam Service Provider Console.
- Deploying configuring and managing various Microsoft Azure products:
- Intune MDM Defender for M365 Defender for Endpoint etc.
- Facilitating new customer onboardings:
- Deployment of support tools.
- Creation of network documentation diagrams etc.
- Facilitating ISP circuit orders:
- Order submission cutover activities etc.
- Facilitating customer office moves.
- Accurately log projects into a centralized ticketing system with professional thorough and consistent communication to the customer along with documenting notes internally for actions taken.
- Creating and updating internal and customerfacing documentation and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- The IT Engineer position requires previous experience working for a Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) with at least two years of proven experience in executing IT projects.
- Possess the ability to perform due diligence in researching problems and solutions to those problems without guidance.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the deployment and management of various Microsoft technologies including but not limited to Microsoft 365 Azure Exchange Online Client & Server Operating Systems HyperV Virtualization HyperV Failover Clustering Remote Desktop Services (Broker Licensing Host & RD Gateway Services) FSLogix Domain Services DNS DHCP Group Policy Intune etc.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in deploying and managing WatchGuard SonicWALL Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti hardware.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in deploying and managing Dell server infrastructure and toolsets: Dell PowerEdge Servers PowerVault Storage Arrays Dell OpenManage iDRAC etc.
- Strong MS PowerShell scripting capability.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing.
- Working knowledge of various cloud & VPS platforms: Azure Google AWS Vultr Wasabi etc.
- Previous experience in administration and management of a Remote Monitoring & Management platform: Nable Kaseya ConnectWise Ninja One etc.
- Bonus: Experience working with VoIP technologies such as 3CX FreePBX/PBXAct FusionPBX Asterisk FreeSwitch etc.
- Skills and certifications in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server M365 Azure etc.) are highly favored.
- Communication skills and attention to detail for this position are paramount. The successful IT Engineer will possess technical skills and be able to be customerfacing and properly communicate expectations timelines etc.
- Possess excellent technical documentation skills. Previous use of IT Glue or Hudu is preferred.
- Ability to stay current with technology and obtain industryrelevant certifications.

- Should be willing to accept a longterm workfromhome arrangement.
- Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
