Job Title: Financial Analyst
Salary: $2000
Job Description:
We are seeking a detailoriented Financial Analyst to join our lean team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and testing financial models compiling information into investment marketing materials and assisting with financial reporting. This role requires a strong analytical mindset excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling:
- Build and test financial models for potential investments and existing portfolio companies.
- Perform firstpass evaluations using Tandem’s diligence process.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to assess market sizes and risks.
- Investment Analysis and Reporting:
- Compile and analyze financial and operational data of earlystage tech companies particularly B2B SaaS.
- Prepare detailed investment memos highlighting key insights opportunities and risks.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports for internal use and for distribution to investors.
- Marketing Materials:
- Create compelling investment narratives and presentations for potential investments.
- Prepare investorready documentation including onepagers slide decks and other marketing materials.
- Assist in the creation of quarterly and annual reports for portfolio companies.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with the investment team to gather necessary data and insights.
- Connect with portfolio companies to collect and analyze financial reports and performance metrics.
- Ensure all written materials are of the highest quality and have proper grammar.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience on an investment team running diligence on earlystage tech companies.
- Experience in the tech sector particularly with B2B SaaS companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance Economics Accounting or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial modeling investment analysis and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
- Ability to create highquality presentations and investment materials using PowerPoint or similar tools.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
