Job Description
This is a remote position.
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our Business Consulting division for the US market with a specialized focus on the Retail sector.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategy consulting and executive leadership within the retail industry with over 20 years of experience driving business transformations and growth.
This role requires deep industry knowledge strategic vision and the ability to foster strong client relationships at the highest levels along with expertise in building and managing a consulting team across the retail value chain.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the business consulting strategy for the US Retail sector aligning with the company s global vision and objectives.
Own and deliver the revenue targets for the consulting business for US Retail.
Lead high impact consulting engagements providing strategic insights and driving value for major retail clients.
Collaborate with global leadership to ensure consistency and quality of service across regions.
Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with Csuite executives and key decisionmakers in the retail industry.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities expanding the client portfolio and driving revenue growth.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients providing thought leadership on industry trends challenges and opportunities.
Team Building & Leadership:
Build and scale a highperforming retail consulting team across the entire value chain including areas such as supply chain management customer experience digital transformation and merchandising.
Lead mentor and develop consultants fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Oversee recruitment training and professional development initiatives to ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise.
Promote diversity and inclusion within the team ensuring a range of perspectives and ideas are represented.
Industry Expertise:
Stay ahead of industry trends and disruptions particularly in digital transformation ecommerce supply chain innovation and customer experience.
Provide strategic guidance on how emerging technologies such as AI data analytics and blockchain can be leveraged to drive retail transformation.
Represent the company at industry conferences events and forums enhancing brand visibility and thought leadership.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the highest standards of project delivery client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Monitor and manage the division s financial performance including budgeting forecasting and profitability analysis.
Implement best practices in project management risk management and quality assurance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
20 years of experience in the retail sector with a significant portion in strategy consulting or senior executive roles such as Head of Strategy Chief Strategy Officer or equivalent.
Proven experience in leading and managing largescale business transformations and strategic initiatives in the retail industry.
Extensive experience in building and leading retail consulting teams across the value chain including supply chain operations customer engagement and digital transformation.
Demonstrated success in managing complex client relationships and delivering highvalue consulting engagements.
Strong strategic thinking and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies.
Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Superior communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L budgeting and financial planning.
Deep understanding of digital transformation innovation and emerging technologies in the retail space.
Education:
A bachelor s degree in business administration Management or a related field is required.
An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with global consulting firms or leading strategic functions within a Fortune 500 retail company.
A robust network of industry contacts and relationships within the US retail sector.
A proven track record of thought leadership through published articles conference speaking or other public forums.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Certifications
Relevant certifications in business consulting or related fields (if any).
Education: Bachelors Degree
Requirements: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent 5+ years Salesforce development experience across multiple clouds 5+ years of experience with technical Salesforce implementations & development projects 4 + years in a consulting environment Strong client management & client communication experience 3+ years experience in Financial Services (Banking, Wealth & Asset Management expertise highly desired) 2+ years Financial Service Cloud (FSC) required Strong understanding of relational databases & working with large data sets Application development experience with Apex, JavaScript, Java, C#, SQL or similar Proficiency with APIs -- REST and SOAP-based web services (SOA) Experience in Object Oriented concepts and design, experience with OO languages Proficient in SFDC technologies including configuration and custom development Active in the Salesforce or other technical communities in the form of blogs, stack exchange posts, github and the like. Preferred Skills & Attributes: Experience working with On & Off-Shore teams Leadership/mentorship of more junior developers & other technologists Polyglot with experience in both OO and functional programming languages like Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript One or more current Salesforce.com certifications Nice to Have experience; nCino, velocity, Omni, MuleSoft
