Job Description
As an Order Processing Specialist you ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient order processing from verifying customer information to generating documentation and coordinating with internal teams. Your attention to detail and customercentric approach will drive timely accurate deliveries that exceed expectations.
Your Daily Tasks
Order Management:
- Process and enter orders in the system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify order details including quantities pricing and delivery instructions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and customerspecific requirements.
Coordination with Teams:
- Collaborate with inventory warehouse and logistics teams for timely dispatch.
- Communicate with customer service to keep customers updated on order status.
Documentation and Records:
- Maintain accurate records of orders and shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents in line with regulatory standards.
Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve order discrepancies or delays.
- Escalate issues and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
System Management:
- Use order management software or ERP systems for tracking and reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy and update records as needed.
Customer Communication:
- Respond to inquiries regarding order status and delivery times.
- Provide courteous support to internal and external customers.
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate s or bachelor s degree in business preferred.
- 13 years of experience in order processing logistics or customer service.
- Proficiency in order management or ERP software (e.g. SAP Oracle).
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
- Problemsolving mindset with the ability to handle customer concerns.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing retail or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with supply chain and basic inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
