Job Summary
Our client a leading organization in the logistics industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Manager to join their team in Mombasa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions implementing HR strategies and fostering a positive work environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in managing HR operations and supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Management
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Lead and manage the HR department ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Provide strategic HR advice to senior management and contribute to the development of the company s business plans.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Oversee the endtoend recruitment process including talent sourcing interviewing and onboarding.
Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract highquality candidates.
Create effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires are wellintegrated into the company culture.
3. Performance Management
Design and implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance.
Work closely with department heads to set performance goals and provide feedback to employees.
Manage performance improvement plans and ensure effective employee development programs.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement initiatives.
Address employee grievances resolve conflicts and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Conduct regular employee surveys and develop action plans to address identified issues.
5. Training & Development
Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
Identify training needs and work with department heads to design appropriate training solutions.
Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as needed.
6. Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and regulations.
Develop review and update HR policies and procedures in line with best practices and legal requirements.
Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data confidentiality.
7. Compensation & Benefits Administration
Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing.
Manage employee benefits programs and ensure competitive compensation packages.
Conduct regular salary reviews and market analysis to remain competitive within the industry.
8. HR Reporting & Analytics
Prepare and present HR metrics and analytics reports to senior management.
Analyze HR data to identify trends and make informed decisions for workforce planning.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving HR processes and employee satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum of 710 years of experience in human resources with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Professional HR certification (e.g. CHRP SHRM) is a plus.
Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Proven experience in the logistics industry is highly desirable.
Must be currently residing in Mombasa County.
