Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Reports To: CEO
Department: Warehouse Operations
Location: Head Office
Key Relationships
Internal Teams:
Collaborates closely with the Inventory and Purchase Officer Accounts Control Human Resources and the Administration and logistics Coordinator.
External Partners:
Coordinates with drivers riders outsourced transport providers/freight forwarders and supply chain partners.
Job Purpose:
Our client seeks a Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations including inventory management process optimization and timely product delivery. This role ensures compliance with safety standards while enhancing productivity and fostering team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations: Manage receiving storing and dispatching goods maintaining accurate inventory records and optimizing space and inventory systems. % of Time 20%
Process Improvement: Develop strategies to enhance efficiency reduce costs and implement automation tools. % of Time 20%
Dispatch Management: Oversee order dispatch ensure timely deliveries and resolve any delivery issues. % of Time 20%
Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety protocols regular inspections and staff training are conducted. % of Time 10%
Team Management: Recruit train and mentor warehouse staff fostering effective communication and collaboration. % of Time 10%
Reporting: Prepare and submit activity reports track inventory movements and ensure transparency. % of Time 10%
Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure products are stored and handled according to industry standards collaborate with quality assurance teams to resolve issues and address shipment or inventory discrepancies promptly. % of Time 5%
Performance Analysis: Establish and communicate KPIs evaluate staff performance with feedback and improvement plans and reward excellence while addressing skill gaps through targeted training. % of Time 5%
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
A Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
Certification in warehouse management or logistics/ Masters Degree is an added advantage.
Experience:
A minimum of 35 years of experience in warehouse management
Proven experience in managing inventory overseeing order fulfilment and coordinating with external distributors and dealers.
Experience in managing a diverse team and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Competencies required for this Role
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide warehouse staff.
Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
Strong understanding of Odoo warehouse software system.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to liaise with internal teams suppliers and external distributors.
High attention to detail especially in tracking inventory and handling specialized medical products.
Key Performance Indicators:
Reduction in inventory losses.
Improved dispatch efficiency and cost savings.
Compliance with health and safety standards.
