Job Description
Purpose of the position
Product Development Executive plans and directs all aspects of an organizations product development policies objectives and initiatives. Oversees research for new products product enhancements and product redesign. Being a Product Development Executive ensures that product development activities align with the goals of the organization. Makes recommendations on the potential and practicality of products in development.
Key responsibilities & duties
- Managing and leading the entire product line life cycle from product development to product launching
- New Product Development & Ensure on quality control of the product
- Lead and direct routine compliance functions related to product development and manufacturing of current products in R&D Center.
- Quality control on raw materials used in products
- To establish/ maintain and update related work instructions including analysis method specification (recipe ingredients list nutritional fact) and documents of all projects and samples status on time
- Monitor Food Safety
- Assisting Manager in building the brand awareness and establishing brand presence in Malaysia & SEA Market for Pet Food ( Dog & Cats )
- Develop and implement processes and methodologies to prioritize and implement new product
- Perform other adhoc assignments and tasks as requested by management
Trade Marketing & Branding (60%)
- Communication skills including conflict resolution and friendly manner.
- Good at Marketing Planning Executive Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Do not mind working extra miles
Events & Roadshows (20%)
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team orientated approach
General Administration work related to the Marketing Division (20%)
- Excel & Power Point skills
Requirements
Academic or trade qualifications
- Candidate must at least possess a Diploma or Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Nutrition / Science & Technology / Veterinary Business Studies or equivalent
Work experience and skills
- At least 12 years of working experience in the related field
- Food science / Veterinary background candidate will be advantage
- Customer services oriented creative passionate and good team spirit.
- Good analytical and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Able to multitask work independently meet tight deadlines and work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Required skills(s): MS Excel MS Power Point MS Word.
- Required language(s): Chinese English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Do not mind working late and must have high in commitment and responsibility.
- Critical thinking and creative problemsolving skills and strong judgment and decisionmaking.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
