Job Description

Join PsychiaTreat a forwardthinking outpatient psychiatric facility located in Westbury where our mission is to provide highquality mental health care within a supportive communityfocused environment. As a startup PsychiaTreat seeks a dedicated Senior Medical Biller with a minimum of 10 years of experience ideally in the mental health field to lead our billing operations. In this pivotal role you ll ensure accuracy compliance and efficiency across our billing processes supporting the financial health and mission of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of medical billing including charge entry claims submission payment posting and accounts receivable followup.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies and government payers.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and denials collaborating with insurance representatives and internal staff.
  • Audit and monitor progress charts to maintain thorough documentation and compliance.
  • Generate and report on key performance indicators for billing and revenue cycle management.
  • Stay informed on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies specific to outpatient psychiatric services.
  • Assist in developing and implementing billing policies and procedures for the facility.


Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in medical billing preferably in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
  • Certifications: ICD10 certification required; certification in medical billing and coding (e.g. AAPC AMBA) is a plus.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Coding Knowledge: Strong understanding of CPT ICD10 coding and insurance reimbursement processes.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with nofault and/or workers compensation billing and prior leadership experience.
  • Skills: Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and thrive in a startup environment.
