Job Description
Project Development Manager
Pay Package: circa $110000 p/a bonus equity.
Contract type: Permanent/ Indefinite
Location: Remote requires travelling /client visits across New York
In this role youll be at the forefront of identifying securing and developing new renewable energy projects. Your primary focus will be on solar projects but you may also explore opportunities in other renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seek out and cultivate relationships with landowners developers and other key stakeholders to identify potential project sites.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and negotiations to secure land rights for new projects.
- Analyze project feasibility by conducting technical financial and regulatory due diligence.
- Oversee the permitting process working closely with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals.
- Prepare detailed financial models to assess the economic viability of projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends regulations and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including engineering finance and legal to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering business or a related field.
- Proven track record in project origination development or a similar role in the renewable energy industry.
- Strong understanding of solar and energy storage technologies as well as relevant regulations and permitting requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
- Valid drivers license
