Job Description
Your role will take you to new heights as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:
- Lead and perform regular maintenance on aircraft structural components ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with Airside MRO Federal and OSHA regulations.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of records for maintenance repairs inspections and services ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and examinations of various structural components identifying cracks corrosion defects or wear and taking corrective action as needed.
- Consult maintenance manuals and specifications to ensure all repairs and replacements follow correct operational procedures and meet required safety and performance standards.
- Supervise and perform the installation of new parts ensuring that all replacements or repairs of structural components are done to specifications and improve performance.
- Oversee sheet metal repairs ensuring the structural integrity and safety of aircraft components while maintaining precision in all tasks.
- Identify and resolve structural issues based on inspections or reports from Airside MRO customers providing expert troubleshooting and guidance for corrective actions.
- Document and manage all records related to inspections repairs and reassembly of structural components ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal audits.
- Ensure strict adherence to Federal Airside MRO and OSHA regulations throughout all maintenance activities maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior mechanics assisting with complex repairs and ensuring the team follows best practices for structural maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned supporting the overall maintenance operation and enhancing team performance.
- Indepth knowledge of aircraft structural components systems and parts with the ability to lead inspections maintenance and repairs for optimal performance.
- Comprehensive understanding of tools and testing methods used to ensure the functionality and integrity of structural components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software for maintaining and managing detailed records of inspections repairs and maintenance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and mechanical aptitude ensuring precision and quality workmanship in all tasks.
- Expert ability to interpret technical documentation including Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs) drawings and specifications to guide accurate repairs and replacements.
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure ensuring highquality results even in stressful or timesensitive situations.
- Strong ability to conduct inspections and perform repairs ensuring structural integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adaptability to learn new skills and repair methods staying updated with industry advancements and implementing best practices.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills enabling clear discussions about equipment malfunctions and the ability to complete accurate reports and documentation.
- Commitment to superior craftsmanship ensuring that all structural repairs and maintenance are conducted to the highest standards of safety and quality.
