Job Description
Provide the relevant inputs to the Group Head and other department heads towards making strategic investment decisions
2. Ensure that all projects comply with relevant QA/QC and HSSE (health safety security and environmental) codes
3. Ensure that all projects comply with applicable laws and regulations
4. Drive value engineering by analysing designs features systems equipment and material selections for the purpose of achieving essential functions at the lowest life cycle cost consistent with required performance quality reliability and safety.
5. Develop and maintain a maintenance framework for all companies and related party projects and assets for longevity and ROI
6. Lead R&D in areas of core competence and advises the unit heads on the best courses of action
7. Drive the engineering strategy best practices and processes to meet business objectives and operational needs
8. Provide leadership and coach mentor as well as develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement and added value
Requirements
First Degree in Engineering Membership of COREN Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE: Demonstrable experience leading an engineering function with a proven track record in engineering leadership delivering effective engineering strategies policies processes and systems.
Minimum of 10 years midsenior management experience preferably in the downstream energy sector
