Job Description
Our client is a retail financial institution licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria dedicated to providing outstanding financial products and services tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals and businesses. Due to expansion they are in need of a Head of Commercial BankingLocation: LagosJob Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategy for Corporate/Commercial Banking aligning with the bank s goals focusing on micro and small businesses.
- Lead mentor and manage a team to drive performance achieve objectives and ensure a collaborative environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients micro enterprises and stakeholders.
- Identify business opportunities and create tailored financial solutions for microfinance and SMEs clients.
- Oversee credit and risk assessment processes to ensure sound decisionmaking in line with risk guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies maintaining industry standards.
- Monitor and manage the division s financial performance focusing on growth profitability and cost control.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management on business and market trends.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within corporate and microfinance sectors.
- Collaborate with risk management compliance and treasury departments to ensure cohesive operations.
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate/commercial banking
- Experience in the Microfinance is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of corporate banking products services and risk management with a focus on SMEs.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at senior levels.
- Excellent analytical decisionmaking and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and manage a diverse team.
