Job Description

We are looking for a Head Of Engineering for a relatively new player in Vietnams ridehailing sector but its shaping up to be a worthy contender in the space.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City

Personnel in charge: 50

Functions

Define and lead the overall technology vision and roadmap for the super app encompassing ridehailing additional services and backend infrastructure.
Oversee the entire engineering lifecycle from designing and building robust systems to deployment and maintenance.
Recruit develop and lead a highperforming team of software engineers data engineers and other technical talent.
Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and technical excellence within the engineering team.
Partner with Product Design and Data Science teams to ensure seamless product development and execution.
Champion best practices in software development methodologies including Agile DevSecOps and Zero Trust.
Implement and maintain a strong focus on security scalability and reliability of the platform.
Stay uptodate on emerging technologies and trends within the engineering landscape.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and hold teams accountable for delivering on engineering goals.


    Requirements

    10 years of experience in software engineering leadership roles with scale of at least 50 engineers.
    At least 2 years working as Head or Director level
    Must have handson experience with Golang strong expertise in backend and system optimization.
    Proven track record of building and scaling highperformance engineering teams for complex distributed systems and delivering elegant scalable solutions.
    Deep understanding of cloud architecture microservices and distributed systems principles.
    Experience with building and maintaining highly scalable and reliable platforms.
    Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire motivate and mentor engineers.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with crossfunctional teams.
    Experience with Agile/DevSecOps methodologies and a passion for continuous improvement.
    Experience leading engineering teams and delving into technical details to assist the team in making decisions that result in efficient flexible scalable systems.
    Selfmotivated with the ability to work under pressure and under your own initiative.
    Problemsolving skills analytical skills and the ability to make decisions and deliver solutions quickly.
    Highly ownership CanDo attitude with dusty hands by working as ONE team over the star player support collaborate and sync up with colleagues and crossfunctional teams.
