Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chemical Assistant Engineer to join our team in the chemicals industry. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in chemical engineering and a strong understanding of chemical processes. As a Chemical Assistant Engineer you will be responsible for assisting in the design development and implementation of chemical processes as well as troubleshooting and optimizing existing processes. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and safe operation of chemical production facilities.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in chemical production facilities
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering from a recognized program. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of ten years of experience in GHG management, including at least five years focused on decarbonization/GHG abatement activities in the Energy sector, preferably Oil and Gas. Extensive knowledge in: World Resources Institute (WRI) GHG Protocol ISO 14064-1 IPIECA/API/OGP Petroleum industry guidelines for GHG reporting GHG reporting programs (e.g., EU ETS, US EPA GHGRP, CDP) Decarbonization methodologies and technologies Life Cycle Analysis Demonstrated experience in managing corporate-level decarbonization programs and leading company-wide carbon reduction initiatives. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to produce technically-sound reports and presentations. Experience in Saudi Arabia and familiarity with local regulatory environments highly desirable. Relevant certifications such as Fundamentals of Engineering, Professional Engineering, or Chartered Engineer are highly desirable. Involvement in international or national committees related to GHG and climate change (e.g., IPCC, UNFCC) is a plus.
Education
