Job Description

Job Summary: As a Hostess at Fairmont Doha you will be the first point of contact for our guests responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. You will manage guest reservations seating arrangements and ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills a friendly demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Reception:

    • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Assist guests with reservations provide accurate wait times and manage the seating process efficiently.
  • Seating Management:

    • Coordinate seating arrangements based on guest preferences restaurant capacity and reservation schedules.
    • Ensure guests are seated promptly and that tables are prepared and ready for their arrival.
  • Reservation Handling:

    • Manage and update the reservation system including phone online and walkin bookings.
    • Handle special requests such as seating preferences and dietary restrictions ensuring all guest needs are met.
  • Customer Service:

    • Provide information about the restaurant menu options and special promotions to guests.
    • Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Operational Support:

    • Assist with daily operational tasks including maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
    • Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth communication and coordination between frontofhouse and backofhouse operations.
  • Guest Experience Enhancement:

    • Engage with guests to gather feedback and relay any relevant information to management.
    • Monitor guest flow and adjust seating plans as needed to optimize the dining experience.

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food & beverage industry is preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer skills are an advantage.
  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fastpaced environment.
  • Personal Attributes:

    • Friendly professional and approachable demeanor.
    • A passion for delivering outstanding guest service and creating a memorable experience.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
