As a Receptionist your primary responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming guests from all corners of the world to our beautiful hotel growing relationships with new and regular guests.
- Ensure accuracy and professionalism with information and payments during arrivals and departures.
- Maintain a logical work sequence adhering to cash handling and security procedures.
- Provide valuable local knowledge and promote hotel facilities actively upselling to maximise occupancy and rates.
- Manage guest property with care ensuring proper documentation for storage.
- Promote Accor loyalty programmes contributing to guest satisfaction and brand loyalty.
- Work closely with a fantastic team fostering positive relationships with other departments including Housekeeping Food and Beverage and Reservations.
We are looking for a special someone with a passion for people and providing impressive service to join our front office team on a part time basis. This part time role is working across a rotating 7 day roster waged at $25.94 per hour.
Qualifications :
You will ideally have previous experience as a receptionist in a hotel environment however not essential. In addition:
- Exceptional communication skills both written verbal and nonverbal.
- You will be an organized individual with a high attention to detail who is also able to take initiative
- Previous experience in a Reservations environment is an advantage
- Prior use of Opera cloud & TARS Database or similar PMS is preferred.
- A current New Zealand Restricted or Full Drivers licence
- Ability to work a flexible roster including mornings evenings weekends and public holidays
- You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
