Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in the EPCIC sector to lead the engineering team and ensure successful delivery of complex projects. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the project coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment with project goals client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead the engineering team in delivering technical designs plans and solutions that meet project specifications timelines and budgets.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and direction for all phases of engineering including conceptual design detailed engineering procurement construction installation and commissioning.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers ensuring effective collaboration and resource allocation.
- Coordination with Other Departments: Work closely with procurement construction and project management teams to ensure smooth integration of engineering activities with overall project delivery.
- Quality Control: Ensure all engineering deliverables meet industry standards regulatory requirements and client expectations. Implement quality assurance and control processes.
- Risk Management: Identify and address technical risks throughout the project lifecycle implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Client Interface: Act as a primary point of contact for engineeringrelated discussions with clients addressing any concerns and ensuring that technical requirements are met.
- Design Reviews: Oversee design reviews value engineering and constructability assessments to ensure optimal solutions are applied.
- HSE Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities comply with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement by staying up to date with industry advancements and integrating best practices into project execution.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Civil Electrical or related field). A Master s degree or professional certification (e.g. PMP CEng) is a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the EPCIC sector with at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of engineering processes and methodologies across all stages of EPCIC projects from design through to commissioning.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of engineers motivating them to meet project milestones and achieve high performance.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in engineering design tools (e.g. AutoCAD)
- ProblemSolving: Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships and coordinate with other project stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Indepth understanding of industry regulations and codes related to oil and gas energy or infrastructure projects.
HSE Awareness: Comprehensive knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental regulations and best practices
