Key Responsibilities:
Medical Imaging:
Image Interpretation: Analyze and interpret medical images including Xrays MRIs CT scans ultrasound and other imaging modalities to diagnose medical conditions and injuries.
Diagnostic Reports: Prepare detailed diagnostic reports summarizing findings and providing clinical assessments to guide patient treatment.
Interventional Procedures: Perform and/or assist with interventional radiology procedures when necessary such as imageguided biopsies or minimally invasive treatments.
Patient Care:
Consultation: Consult with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and collaborate on patient treatment plans.
Patient Communication: Communicate with patients to explain the purpose of imaging procedures obtain necessary medical histories and address any concerns.
Quality Assurance:
Patient Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and quality control standards to ensure patient safety and the accuracy of medical imaging.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Research and Continuing Education:
Medical Research: Contribute to medical research in the field of radiology by participating in research projects publishing research findings or presenting at conferences.
Continuing Education: Stay uptodate with advances in radiology technology best practices and medical literature through continuous learning and professional development.
