Job Description
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including Xrays CT scans and MRIs.
- Interpret imaging results and generate comprehensive reports for physicians.
- Consult with referring physicians regarding imaging requests and findings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate optimal patient care.
- Supervise and mentor radiology technicians and junior staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in imaging practices.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and manage sensitive information responsibly.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of imaging.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology and imaging technologies.
- Educate patients about procedures and alleviate any concerns they may have.
- Contribute to research initiatives and clinical trials within the department.
- Provide second opinions on complex cases as needed.
- Manage imaging equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
- Engage in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Specialization in Radiology with DNB or equivalent qualification.
- At least 35 years of experience in a similar role.
- Indepth knowledge of imaging modalities and protocols.
- Valid medical license to practice in India.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with patient management software.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Experience in research or clinical trials is a plus.
- Ability to handle highpressure situations with tact.
- Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Comfort with technology and radiology software.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
