Job Description
Under the supervision of the Infrastructure Manager the System Engineer/System Administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability performance and security of the companys IT infrastructure. They are involved in administering servers networks and storage systems resolving complex incidents and continuously optimizing the IT environment.
The System Engineer works in a rapidly evolving technological environment where solutions are hybrid. They must be able to manage complex and outsourced infrastructures while ensuring maximum system availability and enhanced security.
Responsibilities
System Administration
- Manage configure and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows Unix/Linux OS400).
- Manage cloud environments (Azure AWS) and ensure their integration with internal infrastructures.
- Monitor system performance and manage disk space users and access rights to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (backup/restore).
Database Management
- Ensure the monitoring migration and maintenance of databases (SQL Server Oracle MariaDB).
- Ensure data integrity by supervising backup and restoration processes and performing database instance migrations.
Security and Patch Management
- Deploy security updates and patches in collaboration with the cybersecurity team.
- Set up and monitor antivirus systems firewalls and other security tools (Qualys).
Automation and Scripting
- Automate recurring administrative tasks through scripting (PowerShell Bash Python).
- Develop automation processes to improve system management and monitoring.
Incident Resolution and Technical Support
- Handle level 2 and 3 incidents analyze system malfunctions and implement longterm solutions.
- Provide technical support to other IT teams and collaborate with service providers to resolve complex issues.
Production and Integration
- Coordinate the deployment of new applications and software solutions ensuring compliance with defined standards.
- Participate in continuous system optimization and performance improvement.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document system configurations procedures and implemented solutions.
- Produce performance indicator dashboards (KPI) and generate regular reports.
Requirements
Technical
- Excellent knowledge of system environments (Windows Linux Unix) and virtualized infrastructures (VMware HyperV).
- Advanced skills in database administration (SQL Server Oracle MariaDB).
- Expertise in cloud environments (Azure) and storage and network solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell Bash Python).
- Proficiency in configuration and automation management tools (Ansible Puppet).
Soft Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good responsiveness to incidents with the ability to quickly resolve critical malfunctions.
- Analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to produce clear and precise documentation.

Experience and Education
- Master s degree in IT (systems engineering or equivalent).
- 5 years of experience in a similar system administration role ideally with experience in a multisystem and multisite environment.
- System administration certifications (Microsoft Linux Azure) are appreciated.
- Technical English is required for interactions with service providers and for technical documentation.

Hybrid role with 12 days per week remote.
